Having led Coal Hill Ventures as Managing Director since its founding, Chris Moehle also guides the affiliated Robotics Hub venture funds. Preceded by an in-house Carnegie Mellon University initiative founded by Moehle, The Robotics Hub seeks out early-stage companies with disruptive potential in the regional and international robotics sphere. As part of these roles, Chris Moehle serves as board observer and adviser at Agility Robotics, which focuses on mobile platforms that amplify the potential of robotics. He holds similar responsibilities with Allvision IO, where he assists a team in developing city-scale systems that manage immersive street-level analytics.
He serves as an advisor or member of the boards of 6 other Robotics Hub portfolio companies, with the common theme being productizing state of the art technology to solve a pressing and urgent problems. Industries affected by The Robotics Hub’s current portfolio range from agriculture, to medicine, to home building. Chris’ hope is that the responsible deployment of robotic products touches every industry and life on earth for the better.
